eye infections......any help???

Postby missmog » Sat Jun 12, 2010 4:15 pm

Hello everyone,

I have a young pullet who seems to hav bubbly eyes, almost foam like film over them, she was 100% fine yesterday just being herself and thismorning we woke to this and she is quite quiet and withdrawn.

I have put a damp warm flanel over her eyes to remove what i can but its coming back within an hour or so, i have also put her in a small pen on her own with food and water but she isnt interested in eating or drinking al though she knows its there as i put her over to it incase she couldnt see it.

All 8 of our other birds are fine, its just little teeny,

Any thoughts on what could have caused this and the best way to treat her? :-k

Bubbly eyes can be an indication of mycoplasma. :?
She'll need antibiotics to help clear it up. ;)
