Anyone with experience of raising chicks in an Eglu Cube?

Postby feelag » 10 Jul 2014, 16:16

Hi
My 3 bantam hens are currently hatching up to 11 Sebright eggs in an Eglu Cube and I was wondering if anyone has experience of raising bantie chicks in such a large coop and were any changes made so that the chicks could move about, get food and drink but be kept safe for a while in the coop ie stop them falling out.
Then as they get older and need to come out of the coop how have the chicks managed to get in and out as they will be too small to use the ladder. I'm assuming a temporary ramp was made that they could use?

Any ideas? I'd like to keep them all in the current Eglu particularly as the weather is so good at the moment.
Thanks.
