New Arrival

Post by nigel » 12 Jul 2014, 22:25

After losing Troy (the Weimaraner in my avatar) last year we've been dogless for 9 months.

Look who we picked up yesterday.

This is Sherepoint Pepper's Lord Byron

I didn't know Troy had died, but a sensible gap to leave - there's always a period when you think that there are advantages to being dogless. Then you realise the disadvantages outweigh them. I love his name; I've always had a sneaking admiration for the man because his politiaclly incorrect lifestyle which discommoded English teachers. Luckily my parents were rather more forthright. He's going to give you an awful lot of fun.
Guinea fowl & a lot of surplus poultry equipment.

Sadly Troy developed congestive heart failure last year, he went downhill very quickly.

The breeders were very accommodating over his name. We wanted to call him Byron, so they mixed it into his pedigree name. Sherepoint the breeders kennel name and Pepper from the sire's name.

He's certainly spicing things up around here, it's been years since I've had a puppy.

I had to look hard & thought he's a odd looking lab & you don't see many flat coats but they have that look about them - working in a vets means you see a few different breeds - many that people often don't know what they've bought  & I'm a bit of a pedigree geek x.
