Hello everyone,
I don't actually have any hens just yet but intend to get some in the next few weeks. I would be happy enough to start off with 3 or maybe 4 and see how it goes from there.
I think the best plan might be to keep the hens in the run firstly and then maybe let them loose,I don't really know yet,
I'm just at the planning stage right now and I hope to build a house and run for them myself.
I've looked at loads of different house types but just haven't seen one that catches my fancy, or ability to build , just yet!
I'd like something that has a sliding floor that I can slip out easily and clean without too much trouble and also that will be safe for the ladies at night as I've seen a fox pass very close to the garden recently!
Thanks for reading and any advice greatly appreciated

Hello DD and welcome!!

If you have any photos of your garden or yard then I am sure members will be able to advise on the best place to have your hen house!

And getting 3 or 4 never works for long.... always plan for 10.... lmao!!!!
