White leghorn info?

Post by Wozza1985 » 27 Jan 2018, 12:55

Hi I’m getting a couple of white leghorn hens just under 1 year old next weekend. What are these breeds like? How many eggs? Large egg?
Are they flighty (so I know to clip)

They will be going in my back garden 9 metre run with my 3 CLB & my 5 rangers.

Thank you in advance

Flighty I think - good layers though.

Yes they are flighty and lay nice white eggs. they are one of the main breeds that make up the United states hybred commercial layers, they prefer white eggs to our brown
