I usually wait until between 16-18 weeks. By that time the little ones can come off growers and be fed on layers along with all the adults. They also stand a much better chance of keeping themselves safe from the adults at this age, so won't get so badly bullied.

okay but what should i keep them in as at the monment i have got them in a great big box as i only got them on the 21 april. they came sooner than i could prepare something/ In the Adult chicken house i could separate some of that off for them. the house has two doors should i have one door for the babie and one door for the grown ups. should i use chicken wire to stop the adults flying over to get the small chickens any ideas please as it could get quite expensive.

Ideally you should keep new birds separate for about 2 weeks to ensure they haven't brought any diseases in with them.
IMO they are too young yet to put them with your adult flock. You will have to separate them as you said in your last post until they are at least 14-16 weeks old.

It doesn't have to be anything too expensive. I use a fold up run for new arrivals, with a piece of plastic sheeting over the top to keep them dry. At night time they come inside and sleep in a dog cage, minus the dog
