haynes chicken manual or dummies guide to keeping chickens?

Postby Henmother » 12 Oct 2010, 22:57

good day! I have a birthday impending and want a couple of books,i've had the complete encyclopedia out of the library a few times so although its a great book,i dont need to buy it. So,as a newby to the world of chooks,do you think haynes/dummies are worthwhile additions to my birthday wishlist? Thankyou.

From what i,ve read on here the Haynes is alright, don,t know about the dummies guide but i suppose you,d pick up a few things out of them both so that can,t be a bad thing,go for it and enjoy. :)

Have read a review of the Dummies Guide on another forum and the general concensus was that it was very repetitive and if you have been keeping chickens for even a couple of months and know the basics then it really is,nt worth buying.
