The person did indeed just threw the hen out like rubbish I was absolutely disgusted. The box was tiny so the hen was crammed poor thing. But I managed to take a pic on the sly of this horrible person and I’ve also reported him to local authorities! But now the hen will live a nice life with my bird...

Hi I’ve just noticed one of my new cream legbar hens have Spurs about 3” long is this normal? I never knew hens had them I thought it’s a rooster thing?

Hi I’m getting a couple of white leghorn hens just under 1 year old next weekend. What are these breeds like? How many eggs? Large egg?
Are they flighty (so I know to clip)

They will be going in my back garden 9 metre run with my 3 CLB & my 5 rangers.

CCLB info please

I have just bought three cream legbars (pure breeds) for £15 each they have just started laying, is that a good price? My columbines have gone to my friends who keeps columbines as they were very flighty and laid normal colour eggs. All healthy. Can anybody tel me more about this bird? Colour eggs? ...

Huge egg!

Found another huge egg today in the nestbox, I'm getting one of these beasts every other week! Is this normal for hybrids? Not complaining like as I like the double yolkers but crikey this is the biggest up to now (106g)

Yeah part of our shopping list is cabbages for the hens! What ither greens can they have? I feed them cabbage and lettuce every week
